The Low Profile Floating Shelf Bracket by Federal Brace provides sturdy support with a shorter floating shelf profile. This floating shelf bracket is designed to carry up to 50 pounds of distributed load while having an overall height of under 1 inch so that a shelf box profile may be sleek and narrower than a box built around standard 2x4 framing or on other standard metal floating shelf brackets on the market. The Low Profile Floating Shelf Bracket includes an exterior "U" shaped support member that fixes to the wall using 1-inch slots cut into the back flange of the shelf bracket. A cross rib member is used to tie the support arms of this exterior bracket together providing increased strength and resistance to deflection. The resulting self bracket offers superior support in a low profile format. Note: When building the shelf box, space will need to be made on the interior for the box to include fastener used in the rib to exterior bracket connection.

The Low Profile Floating Shelf Bracket features an all-new
innovative gusseted support bracket designed to improve
the overall carrying capacity of the shelf with a thinner,
aesthetically pleasing profile. The Low Profile Floating
Shelf Bracket comes to you in a powder coated gloss
black finish and includes screws to attach the inner gusset
rib. Four slots are provided for adjusting the placement
as needed. Slots are sixteen inches on center. Arms
extend from both ends of the bracket for insertion into the
floating shelf box.
When installed correctly, the Low Profile Floating
Shelf Bracket has a 50-pound carrying capacity. We
recommended not exceeding this weight to avoid shelf
deflection.
