The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S official launch has FINALLY arrived. After pre orders went live on September 22, 2020  both next-gen models sold out in less than 24 hours. On Twitter, Microsoft said it was "humbled by the record-breaking demand" for its new console. Continued high demand for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S is expected throughout the 2020 Holiday Season and beyond. Ready to learn what all the hype is about?

The Xbox Series X costs around $500. Shaped like a PC tower, the Xbox Series X features ray-tracing, a quick resume function, and a "smart delivery" feature that allows free next-gen upgrades for owners of Xbox One games. The Xbox Series X has a disc drive for playing physical games and is capable of gameplay up to 4K and 120 FPS.

For less than $300, you can get the Xbox Series S, which does not include a disc drive (therefore cannot play physical media). The Series S is also less powerful, but it's still capable of 1440p at up to 120 FPS as well as 4K upscaling. It also comes with a 512GB SSD compared to 1TB for the Series X, though Microsoft has said file sizes for Series S versions of games will be 30% smaller than their Series X counterparts.

The best news? All Xbox Series X and Series S consoles from the retailers listed below are online only (No campout necessary!). Save your tent and smores setup for an actual socially distanced camping trip this fall. Beyond general (but limited!) availability on Microsoft.com, Gamestop.com, Amazon.com, and AntOnline.com, the short list of retailers below announced specifics for their online launch day:

Walmart, has confirmed exactly when you'll be able to order the Xbox Series X and S online on Tuesday. Both consoles will be restocked on Walmart.com at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET on November 10, so you'll only have one shot at securing your Xbox order at Walmart.

In Target's Black Friday 2020 ad, the retailer confirmed it will have the Xbox Series X and Series S in stock online-only on November 10. No specific restock time was given. Order Pickup and Drive Up will be available as well as standard shipping.

Meanwhile, Best Buy has announced it will not have any Xbox Series X or Series S units in brick-and-mortar stores until 2021. The retailer would not confirm online availability for launch day and kept its plans vague, saying the Xbox Series X/S will be up for purchase on BestBuy.com when units are available.

The best plan is to plan ahead, so be ready this Tuesday - ON your computer - with payment info handy - while keeping tabs on all major retailer listings. After your successful order (congrats!) and subsequent happy dance, you will realize it is time to Mount UP.  Get the most from your Xbox Series X/S, while boosting the look and feel of your gaming space with superior mounts for your superior gaming setup from Oeveo.
