Oeveo is headed to Neocon in 2020! NeoCon serves as the commercial design industry’s launchpad for learning, connection, & innovation - offering ideas & introductions that shape markets ranging from workplace, healthcare, hospitality, retail, education, public space, & government. Held every June at The Mart in Chicago (since 1969) NeoCon is the world’s leading platform & most important event of the year for the commercial design industry with the latest ideas, products, & experiences to inspire & engage.
Currently with nearly 1 million square feet of exhibition space, NeoCon showcases game-changing new products & services from leading companies & emerging startups, directly allowing NeoCon attendees unparalleled access to the latest & most innovative solutions in commercial design. Since its launch 50 years ago, NeoCon has served as the commercial design world's annual gathering place - a vibrant hub for a non-stop schedule of networking, events & celebrations, daily keynote presentations, tours, & nearly 100 CEU seminars offering world class expertise & insight into today's most design relevant topics.
The Mart itself is a downtown Chicago landmark in the River North Neighborhood that sits on the award-winning Chicago Riverwalk. The Mart site was initially occupied by the area’s first trading post where trappers bartered with Native Americans. Today the Mart is one of the largest commercial buildings in the world & is the largest wholesale design center. Encompassing some 4,200,000 square feet of floor space, the Mart spans two city blocks along the Chicago River, rises 25 stories, & was the largest building in the world when it opened in 1930. Today it features retail shops, boutiques, radio & television studios, 10 floors of office space, & 11 floors of permanent showrooms. It hosts dozens of trade shows & community events that attract designers, architects, builders, consumers, & tourists alike.

- Of course the 9 - 5 at NeoCon will be stimulating. Make sure that you have a place to process, while catching up on R & R at a nearby hotel. Visitor approved accommodations within walking distance to the Mart are abundant & include Moxy, Found, The Godfrey Hotel, Hotel Felix, & Freehand.
- Feed the excitement! The River North dining scene is always buzzing - so for this trip Oeveo is focusing on the newest, most highly anticipated restaurants in the neighborhood. Check out Avli (702 N Wells St.) for traditional Greek with modern elegance, Tzuco (720 N State St.) which offers amped-up French dishes with Mexican flavors - including French onion soup with poblano peppers & chihuahua cheese, RPM Seafood (317 N Clark St.) offers a variety of crudo & tartare, seafood towers & globally-inspired preparations from celebrity couple owners Bill & Giuliana Rancic, & last but not least Kostali (521 N Rush St.) for vibrant & modern Mediterranean fare.
- One of the most prominent nightlife neighborhoods in the downtown Chicago area, River North is home to some of the best spots on the social scene. From high end bars, to charming dives, to nightclubs - there is something for every type of night out. Locals agree -- cultured by day, River North shifts into high gear by night -- for some after-hours fun, enjoy tiki drinks & tropical vibes at Three Dots and a Dash or order a bathtub-size cocktail at The Bassment, one of Chicago’s premier live music venues. Bring your dancing shoes for fun at TAO or get that Rat Pack vibe with old-school crooning at Redhead Piano Bar.
